EMA’s Trucks
EMA’s members make dangerous, dirty engines that are in children’s school buses, neighborhood delivery trucks, long-haul trucks, and well, everywhere! Whole neighborhoods are literally choking on their diesel exhaust fumes.
EMA’s diesel engines help contribute to:
-
More particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air we breathe.
-
An additional 435 million tons of annual carbon dioxide emissions.
-
Dangerous air quality in freight communities, communities that are largely people of color and low income.
-
Preventable asthma attacks, lung disease, and cancer.
